Madonna's CONFESSIONS II Drops July 3
Twenty years after she turned the dance floor into a confession booth, Madonna is going back to the club. Confessions II, her fifteenth studio album and the long-awaited sequel to 2005's Confessions on a Dance Floor, lands July 3, 2026 on Warner Records. Here's everything we know about this exciting release so far.
A real sequel, not just a callback
Madonna has been open that this record is a direct continuation of Confessions on a Dance Floor, right down to reuniting with Stuart Price, the producer who co-wrote and shaped the original. The album also brings in additional production from Arca and Parisi, and a guest turn from Sabrina Carpenter. It's the first album since Madonna's high-profile return to Warner Records- the label where it all started for her over four decades ago.
It plays as one continuous mix
Like its predecessor, Confessions II is built as a non-stop, beat-matched mix — one track flowing into the next with no gaps, the way a great DJ set does. It's an album designed to be played loud, start to finish, on a dance floor. Which is exactly why it sounds so good coming off vinyl.
The songs so far
Two singles are already out in the world:
"I Feel So Free" — the opening track, a deep-house slow burn that interpolates Lil Louis's 1989 acid-house classic "French Kiss." Critics have already drawn lines to "Future Lovers" and the Giorgio Moroder / Donna Summer school of disco.
"Bring Your Love" — the lead single, featuring Sabrina Carpenter, with a house-pop bounce built on a sample of Inner City's 1988 anthem "Good Life." Madonna and Carpenter debuted it together on the main stage at Coachella 2026.
Madonna has also revealed more emotional material on the record. "Fragile" and "Forgive Yourself" both reckon with her relationship with her late brother, Christopher Ciccone.
The look
The artwork picks up the bright pink, red, and purple palette of the original Confessions era, shot by Rafael Pavarotti with creative direction from IB Kamara. On the cover, Madonna is perched on a platform of speakers in a lavender lace bodysuit and a pink veil. If the campaign graphics look familiar, that's the point.
