The Landmark Festival united New York City with music, art, and community. Curated by Kate Storch, the event brought a vibrant blend of music, art, and culture to New York City, celebrating artistic expression and unity.The festival was more than entertainment – it was a tapestry of togetherness, resonating long after its end. With Rock and Soul as a sponsor, the event celebrated local talent and New York's creative spirit.

The two-day event unfolded on Saturday, 29th July, and Sunday, 30th July and took place at the scenic 178 East 124th Street, New York, transforming it into an energetic epicenter of festivities.

 Performances by renowned artists, captivating art exhibits, street performances, a vinyl record fair, and a BGirl Battle showcased the diverse talents and creative spirit.

Attendees from all around, including music fans, art aficionados, and creatives, came together to celebrate culture, skill, and human connection.

Prizes - Prizes are the same for both battles 1st place – A pair of K12.2 speaker, Subwoofer, Totes, Cables and Stands 2nd place – A pair of CP12 3rd place - $150 Rock and Soul store credit

Annual QSC DJ Battle

General Entry Rules -

• Entries will be accepted from Sept 1st – Nov 3rd, 2019.
• Entry format is a video submission, sent to OnlineDJBattle@gmail.com - as either an attachment or a link to YouTube, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
• Videos may be anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes long. Videos exceeding 5 minutes will stop being viewed after the 5 minute mark.
• Video must show the participant's face
• Video must be a continuous format. Video editing where more than one video is combined will be grounds for disqualification. If a video contains multiple angles then both angles must be of the same continuous performance and viewed simultaneously (ie. side by side, stacked on top of each other, picture in picture)
• Participant’s name, email, location, and phone number must be included with the video submission.
• Participant must indicate whether the entry is for the online or NYC competition (not both)
• Equipment used in the video is up to the entrant
• Only one entry per participant
• Video entries containing prejudice based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age and sexual orientation/gender identity will automatically be disqualified. Entries may not contain nudity, pornography or sexually explicit visual content.

Online Battle Format

• 7 finalists will be chosen.
• The 7 online finalists will prepare a 6-minute video which will be aired at the live event.
• Winners will be chosen by our live panel of judges.
• Prizes will be mailed to winners. Shipped to addresses must be securely confirmed.

Live Battle Format

• Finals will be held at Rock and Soul on Nov 20 from 4-7pm
• 5 finalists will be chosen. 
• Last years defending champion will be the 7th finalist. 
• Finalists will perform an 8 minute set
• There will be 2 DJ Stations - the official equipment list will be announced prior to the selection of the finalists
• Competing finalists will be responsible for providing their own needles, laptops, music, hard-drives, and transportation.
• Winners will be chosen by our live panel of judges
• Prizes will be mailed to winners. Shipped to addresses must be securely confirmed.
