Of all the bands that became huge in the '90s, Barenaked Ladies have been among the tardiest in bringing their catalog to vinyl, but we're making up for lost time with this deluxe, expanded, 30th anniversary edition of their 1996 album Born on a Pirate Ship! "The Old Apartment" notched their first U.S. hit, and the record went gold in the U.S. and Top Twenty in Canada. It also marked the welcome return of Steven Page and Ed Robertson writing as a team, which resulted in such gems as "I Know" and "Straw Hat (And Old Dirty Hank)" (and fans of the TV show Friends will recognize "Shoe Box" from it's inclusion on the soundtrack). For it's first-ever vinyl release, we've remastered Born on a Pirate Ship for vinyl and added a couple of bonus tracks, "Trust Me" and "Back." That's just the first three sides... we've saved the last side for a skull and crossbones etching! Cobalt blue double-LP pressing limited to 3000 copies, with front cover art newly designed by the band. This is a 2026 Black Friday Record Store Day release.
