Shure SRH940 Overview
The Shure SRH940 headphones are designed for professional audio engineers with two goals in mind: to deliver an accurate sound, and to provide a comfortable fit. Whether you need headphones for the recording room or a closed-back pair for mixing, these headphones will deliver a sound you can rely upon, day after day, and deadline after deadline.
The cans offer a wide frequency range and a fast transient response to represent the sound stage with precision and accuracy—there will be no blurriness to your audio from the headphones; if something in the sonic picture sounds smeared, you'll know it's coming from the mix and not your monitoring. With a cushioned, adjustable headband and thick replaceable earpads fashioned from sumptuous velour, the headphones will ensure your comfort throughout long listening sessions. All the accessories you need are included to monitor from pro audio gear and consumer-grade media players alike.
An Accurate Sound
The SRH940 have large 40mm neodymium drivers, which deliver a broad frequency response of 5 Hz to 30 kHz for punchy bass and smooth, extended treble. This frequency range, coupled with a fast transient response, ensure accurate monitoring.
Minimize Headphone Bleed without Sacrificing Comfort
The closed-back, circumaural design helps reduce ambient noise, while thick, replaceable velour earpads yield long-lasting comfort. The wide headband is adjustable and generously cushioned to ensure a pleasing fit on a range of head sizes. 90° swiveling earcups allow for single-ear monitoring whenever you want it.
A Multitude of Accessories
Coiled and straight single-sided cables are supplied with the SRH940 to accommodate different preferences for length and wearing style. The headphones provide a bayonet clip to keep cables securely attached to the earcup. A gold-plated 3.5mm TRS mini plug and a 1/4" adapter enable compatibility with MP3 players and mobile devices as well as DJ mixers and audio interfaces. Spare earpads as well as a hardshell case for storage and transport, are included.
