Shure SLXD14+/SM35 Digital Wireless Cardioid Performance Headset Microphone System (G57: 470 to 608 MHz)
Shure SLXD14+ Overview
The Shure SLXD14+/SM35 is a professional digital wireless headset microphone system designed for live performance, installed sound, and houses of worship. Built on the SLX-D+ platform, it combines transparent digital audio with expanded frequency coverage, automated wireless management, and hands-free system control for confident operation in demanding RF environments. This configuration includes a single-channel tabletop receiver in a rugged steel chassis—with rackmounting hardware included—along with a bodypack transmitter and performance headset microphone.
Lightweight Bodypack Transmitter with SM35 Performance Headset Mic
The included SM35 performance headset microphone features an electret-condenser element with a cardioid polar pattern that focuses audio capture on the talent, picking up less background sound and helping to reduce feedback issues when sound reinforcement gear is used on stage. It offers a tailored frequency response refined for clear, crisp vocal reproduction, while the lightweight and low-profile design is comfortable to wear, providing a stable and secure fit that's especially well-suited for active presenters and performers. The microphone connects via a locking TA4F connector to the compact SLXD1+ bodypack transmitter, which includes a belt clip and LCD display for essential system status information.
Transparent Digital Audio and Expanded RF Performance
SLX-D+ delivers transparent 24-bit digital audio with greater than 118 dB of dynamic range for clear, accurate sound reproduction. An expanded wide tuning frequency range of up to 138 MHz (regionally dependent) provides greater geographical coverage and simplified frequency coordination. The system supports up to 11 simultaneous systems per 6 MHz TV band and up to 14 systems per 8 MHz TV band, making it well suited for scalable multi-channel deployments.
ShowLink Ease Automated Wireless Management
ShowLink Ease provides real-time two-way communication between paired SLX-D+ receivers and transmitters using BLE transmission. Once linked, transmitters automatically follow receivers across power cycles and RF changes. Engineers can remotely change transmitter frequency, adjust RF power, lock or unlock controls, apply interference mitigation, and perform over-air firmware updates—without touching the transmitter or requiring an IP network.
Wireless Workbench Desktop and Mobile Control
SLX-D+ systems integrate with Shure Wireless Workbench desktop software and the Wireless Workbench Mobile app, enabling monitoring and control over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Multiple mobile devices can associate with SLX-D+ receivers, with primary and backup control support. System setup, group scanning, transmitter management via ShowLink Ease, and interference monitoring can all be handled from a centralized interface.
Integrated Digital Feedback Reduction
Patented Shure Digital Feedback Reduction (DFR) software automatically detects and suppresses audio feedback using dynamic notch filters. Integrated directly into the SLX-D+ platform, DFR enhances clarity and stability in live sound environments where microphone placement and room acoustics may be less predictable.
Secure Operation and Flexible Power Options
SLX-D+ systems feature AES-256 encryption for secure wireless transmission. The bodypack transmitter operates for up to 8 hours on two AA batteries, with optional SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries providing precise runtime readouts in hours and minutes when used with compatible Shure charging accessories (available separately).
