A built-in amplifier powers the 5” carbon-fiber woofer and 1” silk-dome tweeter. The BX5 Graphite features a rear-mounted bass port that delivers extended bass response, while the tweeter’s redesigned computer-engineered waveguide yields a wide sweet spot and minimized high-frequency scatter. A rear-panel volume control is provided along with high- and low-frequency adjustment switches that allow you to tailor the response to suit the acoustic properties of your listening environment. The versatile monitor sports XLR, 1/4", and RCA input options.

Redesigned 5" Carbon-Fiber Driver

A monitor's drivers are the heart and soul of its performance. Driving the low-end and midrange, the BX5 Graphite's new 5" carbon-fiber woofer is rigid and lightweight, delivering outstanding transient response while negating unwanted cone breakup. The BX5 Graphite's treated silk-dome tweeter provides the perfect combination of low mass and the absence of audible resonances that plague conventional tweeters. Together, the drivers deliver critical detail, nuance, and dynamic accuracy, so your mixes have the veracity and transparency you demand.

Precision-Engineered Enclosure

The BX5 Graphite monitor has a rear-mounted bass port, precisely engineered to the exact length and diameter. The result? Deep, defined bass response with maximum bass extension and resolution. When combined with a smoothly-flared port, the monitor markedly reduces the audibly-intrusive air turbulence that results when bass is played back at high sound-pressure levels (SPLs). The tweeter is mounted in a custom computer-optimized waveguide for reliably accurate dispersion that eliminates unwanted high-frequency scatter while ensuring a soundstage that remains consistently wide and stable.

Adapts to Your Listening Space

The BX5 Graphite custom tailors its sound to your environment, so you will always experience sonically true, reassuringly accurate sound reproduction. The special Acoustic Space control adjusts the bass balance in accordance to the speaker's position relative to major room surfaces, such as the walls and floor. This control also limits the negative impact of room-related standing waves. The High Frequency control precisely adjusts the treble balance to the acoustic properties of your studio space.
