Audio-Technica Consumer AT-LP70X Overview
Engage in the visceral joy of listening to vinyl records with the black and bronze Audio-Technica AT-LP70X Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable. Building on the ever-popular AT-LP60X, the LP70X maintains the same straightforward setup and fully automatic operation, while improving the build, style, and sound quality. An improved three-piece chassis helps reduce mechanical resonance, and the J-shaped tonearm improves tracking. The integrated cartridge is an AT-VM95 dual MM equipped with a replaceable/upgradable VMN95C conical stylus. The AT-LP70X plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm records. And with the built-in switchable phono preamp, it can be connected directly to a home stereo, powered speakers, and other components, whether there is a dedicated phono input or not.
AT-VM95 Upgradable Stylus
Unlike most turntables with an integrated headshell and cartridge, the AT-VM95 series is available in five different styles of styli. In addition to the included AT-VM95C conical stylus, you can upgrade to the separately available AT-VMN95E elliptical bonded, AT-VMN95EN elliptical nude, AT-VMN95ML microlinear, or AT-VMN-95SH shibata needle.
