Record Store Day Drop 1 2022

Record Store Day is an event held annually across the world. Inaugurated in 2007, RSD seeks to celebrate the culture of independently owned stores. Fans, artists, and independent record stores from around the world gather on Record Store Day to celebrate everything vinyl.

How did the Record Store Day Drop 1 2022 go? 

The RSD Drop 1 was held at our store, Rock and Soul on 10W 37th st, New York city, New York as well as thousands of other record stores around the globe. For those that couldn't come physically to the store or shop at the store, our online store was made available to them. People turned up in their numbers to celebrate and pick up their RSD exclusive titles at the store.

On Record Store Day we open early every year at 8 am to serve everyone with their favorite vinyl. Our lines are shorter than those at other stores.

The majority of people who entered the store early at the RSD event Were able to get their favorite titles.

 

 

DJ performances lineup for the RSD:

We also had a live DJ performance on RSD at our store after 2 years, and it was a great experience. The vibe was great and everyone enjoyed it.

On RSD, we had some awesome DJs who played LIVE sets during the entire day.

There were some lucky winners at the RSD event who won giveaways worth thousands of dollars. People who arrived early have a better chance of winning.

Liquid Death & FREE Beer during the  RSD event.

Due to the long lines and people standing for a long time, Liquid Death provided cans of water to keep everyone hydrated. In addition, everybody who bought something from the store was given a coupon for a free beer from the dogfish brewery, at the Brooklyn Bowl, etc.

 

Exclusive booksets signed by Larry Jaffe on RSD

Larry Jaffe visited the store to shop for his favorite title and to sign the Record Store Day book.
